Why is BD-TV only available on DVD? Roxalot Entertainment has chosen DVD as a standard distribution format because of its superior quality, interactive features, and global playback capabilities.
Can I play BD-TV on my computer? Yes! Although BD-TV is intended to be viewed on television, it may also be viewed on most new computers. As long as you have a DVD-ROM drive and software that plays DVD-Video discs (such as commercial movies), you can play BD-TV on your computer.
All new Macintosh computers with DVD-ROM drives come with Apple DVD Player software already installed. If you are using a PC running a Microsoft Widows operating system and your computer won't play the disc, visit Microsoft.com for information on how to get the necessary software.
Is BD-TV a television channel I can get from my cable or satellite TV provider? No, BD-TV is a television program that is only distributed on DVD at this time.
How does BD-TV choose the "Spotlight" performers and "Rising Stars"? The dancer featured in the "Spotlight" segment is chosen for her (or his) notoriety and activity in the Belly Dance community. This person will have many years of experience as a professional performer and will be a popular personality respected by her/his peers.
The "Rising Stars" performers are chosen based on the following criteria:
- They must have a proven track record of consistently performing at a professional level.
- They must be well received by a variety of audiences, as well was their peers.
- They are well known in the local community, but not necessarily famous in the global Belly Dance industry.
How can I suggest a story idea or "Rising Stars" for consideration? If you have an idea that you would like to see made into a story on BD-TV, or if you know of a popular performer/troupe (maybe you!) who you think could be a Rising Star, please submit your information via email to:

Does BD-TV offer subscriptions? Due to the enormous expense and time that is involved in producing BD-TV, at this time it is only sold as individual episodes. However, at some point we may be able to release BD-TV volumes on a regular basis, and at that point we will offer a subscription option. Watch this site for further developments.
If I appear on BD-TV, will I get paid? No - it is not customary to receive compensation for appearing in a news or documentary style program.
